The Unseen Beauty of Bauan

The Adventure

            When you were actually from Batangas and you heard the place “Bauan”, you might say “worst traffic ever.” This is really true! Bauan, Batangas is known for its heavy traffic every day. A kind of place where traffic is really there, transportation is so hard and all the bad things you can blame to it. But what makes me forget all these hard things to Bauan is it unseen beauty. As a fourth year student, we need to have a place for thesis and we chose Bauan as the subject. The first thing that we should do to start in thesis is to discover first what Bauan has. It was 13^th on May when I decided to have the first glimpse on the said place. Too lucky I was joined by my Father and Auntie because my group mates weren’t that available. Nine in the morning when we leave Batangas City and yes, I’m too excited; this is my first time and seriously I don’t have any idea what Bauan looks like. It was a Sunny day indeed; the traffic is really long. Just a simple trivia: We really don’t know what we are going to look for. We don’t have the idea on what place we are looking for. We only know the name of the barangay – Sampaguita, Bauan. I have a simple research on the place before I took an immersion.

            Then we reached Sta. Maria, finally! We were using the GPS (Global Positioning System) and a map… literally a Map! The map says that after the San Pedro Bridge, we need to look for the signage for the beaches in Sampaguita. It took us 20 minutes looking for it and I guess, the only way to find out where it is…is to ask the residents of Bauan. We finally knew where it is! It has actually a breathtaking view because we’re on top (of the world), chos! We saw the Bauan International Port from above. It seems that we’re on the top of the mountain and the beaches we’re on the next mountain. Look like you’re on a road trip before beaching. I guess, we took an hour and a half before reaching Brgy. Sampaguita, Bauan Batangas. The roads are like an intestine… there are lots of dangerous curve and roads. You should have a moderate driving while passing those roads. Since GPS is our map, the place where we need to go is actually, the end of the road. Seriously! At last, we’re here! We reached Brgy. Sampaguita, Bauan Batangas at approximately 11:45 am.

            Just a some trivia: The Quen of Lizquen, Enrigue Gil has a private resort located in Brgy. Locloc, Bauan Batangas who is always there whenever he doesn’t have shows or shoots. Kuya Larry, (caretaker of Il Sogno Beach Resort) says that every Sunday or I might say on Holidays or Holyweek, he brings Liza with him on the said private resort.
             Because it is too far from the land, we needed to ride on a boat to where the car was park. Again, a simple funny trivia (about we did), we walked from first until to the last resort. Seriously, it was near the seashore. I regret wearing shoes because I want to feel the beach of Bauan. The caretaker of the last resort was so kind [because] he gave us a boat ride. Wow, it is really fantastic. We we’re like having an island hopping on the beaches. Guess what, there is no fee but we decided to give the boatman a money for their food/lunch. From Sampaguita, we went to Locloc, Bauan to reached Enrique’s private resort.  By the way, we already reached La Thalia Beach Resort. Yes, it is famous! It is really beautiful.

At the Beach

            It was really fantastic, beautiful, amazing, one of a kind beach in the Philippines. All I can say is it was really beautiful, very beautiful! The water is clear, the sands are white and the ambience makes you feel calm. Though its really hot but you can’t feel it because of its beautiful view. I guess this is the reason why Enrique Gil put a private resort here… Aside from its beautiful view, it is actually far from the city that will you forget the problems and anxieties you have. There are resorts where you can have to go to. You can pick whatever you want. The long travel is really worth the wait. 

            I concluded that we were only searching for famous beaches/resorts and we don’t see the other side of Batangas. We didn’t search beyond what we have. We don’t look for new, we look for what’s in demand – kaya mas lalong hindi natutuwa kasi we might get disappointed. We should look for what’s best for me. Look for something new that will make us really happy. Discover places with unique beauty! The Hidden Paradise in Bauan, Batangas is something we need to forget such stress in life. I suggest you to visit this kind of place. Though, I will post more blog about this after our actual survey in Bauan Batangas.
