Weekend Getaway ft. Bayfront Hotel

Hello readers, I will be sharing to you my Weekend Getaway with my family in Subic. Last July 28-29, we went to Subic, Zambales to visit my uncle. His ship docked in Subic Port. We wanted to see him for he was just promoted to be a Captain. 

We left Batangas 4:30 am in the morning. This is our first time to go North except in Bulacan. Since its our first time, we used Waze (a mobile application) to help us reach our destination. We arrived at SLEX, 6:00 am and ate breakfast. We really need enough time to rest because it is very far from here. While traveling, everyone is sleeping. It's already 8:00 am when we reached Shell Tabang in NLEX; another stopover for restroom purposes.

We reached Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority/ Subic Bay Freeport Zone at exactly 9:30 am. What a a travel! From STAR Tollway to SLEX to Manila to NLEX and lastly, SCTEX. It was a long drive, actually. We decided to eat brunch (breakfast and lunch) and tried to find hotel for our stay. It's been really a tough day; we had difficulties in finding home since it's our first time. I'll be giving you some overview about what happened to us on our first day.

We went inside the SBMA to find home and hotels but unfortunately, we violated their regulations. Nahuli kami bes pero buti na lang mabait sila to the point na napakiusapan not to issue tickets. Medyo strict po ang Subic (incase you'll go to Subic also) We had a road trip there. We went to Benedictican Heights/Subic Homes then went to the City of Olongapo to find restaurants and hotels. We also have a glimpse to Subic Beach Resorts and the Subic itself. Jusko po! Tapos bawal pa kung saan saan magpark or tumigil basta. It's very difficult to go to a place on where you don't have enough knowledge about the rules and regulations. However, we still manage to cope up the mistakes we did while were in Subic.

We reached Moonbay Marina Waterfront Road but most of the hotels are fully booked but thank you to Bayfront Hotel for accommodating us! Finally, after so many hours... we can rest!

TONG KYUM AM RESTAURANT
Your stay at Bayfront Hotel has free breakfast at the restaurant. They have delicious foods in which it is very affordable. It also offers korean foods like samgyupsal.

We had a great stay at Bayfront Hotel plus the staffs are very accommodating and friendly. I recommend this place for those who will have an overnight stay at Subic. It is very near from the city, airport and port. The room is well-clean plus they have also a complete amenities inside the room. My family enjoyed their stay here and we're glad that we finally experience something like this in our entire life. This is just simple but memorable experience for us. Thank you, Bayfront Hotel!

We left Bayfront at 10:00 am then went straight to NSD Compound to visit my uncle. I will not share to you our experience there for some reasons. Thank you tito for giving us the experience of your workplace.

Before leaving Subic, we dropped by at Puregold Dutyfree for some pasalubongs and ate lunch (at 3:00pm in the afternoon). We left Subic at 4:30 pm. Thank you Subic for a wonderful experience! We're coming back for Ocean Adventure and Zoobic Safari, soon! Hang in there! You're such a wonderful place.

P.S. We ate dinner at Mang Inasal, SM Olongapo. Shout out to the crew who were not accommodating. They didn't give us discount and our orders took so long plus hindi pa kami nabigyan ng water na kasama sa order. We were very disappointed with your service. Anyway, Jollibee Subic and KFC Subic are very accommodating and friendly. Thank you for being hospitable!

Before really heading to STAR Toll, we dropped by at SLEX Subway for my favorite sandwiches! Damn, it is very delicious. Huhuhu. I wish we had Subway here in Batangas. We arrived Batangas City at exactly 10:00 in the evening. We experienced moderate to heavy traffic in Quezon City so that's why we had a 5-hour travel but anyway the most important is we arrived safe.

To end this entry, I can say that traveling is not about the destination but the moments you had while traveling. The jokes, the laughters and the stories you shared while inside the car. Quite simple for you but for us it is very big. Magkakasama lang kami, masaya na. Medyo malungkot na kulang pa but soon... Complete kami. Hello Cebu for next!!
